Description: "Play a Melody" is an interactive long-duration multimedia performance where visitors interact with the performer by triggering prompts on a screen by pressing notes on a midi keyboard. These prompts are then acted out by Melody herself which can range from distorted karaoke and subtext speed rapping. This piece aims to investigate control from many angles and aims to explore ideas like the romanticization of control within pop culture, how control hides itself behind passion within relationships, and how it is unclear when control occurs in our lives.

Homing is a labyrinth of multimedia art that is meant to be reconfigured, constructed, & deconstructed by all who enter. While the space will include many featured artists (performers, game designers, tech artists, & more–TBA), everyone who attends is invited to show their work.
