Pockets of Time December 3, 2016 @ 2PM

MAGNET (2 Metrotech Center, Brooklyn, NY)

Pockets of Time is an experimental multisensory performance that explores the role and presence of memory in our lives through all of the senses, including taste and smell. Some subjects it touches on include questioning what memories taste like and how ideas and memories influence our perception. The piece would take place between two larger rooms with a small hallway/room connecting between the two. Performances will occur in an intimate space as the staging is aimed to push the senses.

Minor Latham Playhouse on the Barnard Campus (118 Milbank Hall, New York, NY)

A adaptation of Sophocles' Trachiniae also known as The Women of Trachis by the Barnard-Columbia Ancient Drama Group to be performed in the original ancient Greek. Music played a large role in ancient theater, both in the more reflective choral odes, and in the passionate arias which develop the drama of the story. Melody Loveless will be writing the music for this performance, infusing characteristics of ancient Greek music with her own personal style. Click here to purchase tickets.
